2020 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Braden LaChapelle is a 2023 2B/3B with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Bethesda, MD who attends Walter Johnson. Smaller frame with a lean build and plenty of room to fill out. Ran an 8.01 second 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, works low to the ball and fields it squarely out front, hands work well, transfers to an over the top arm action that will improve results on throws with added arm strength. Right-handed hitter, sets up balanced and slightly open with a small stride into contact; simple swing on a level path as he generates line drive contact to all parts of the field. Very good student.
