Cooper Winchester is a 2024 C/RHP/3B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Covington, LA who attends St. Paul's School. Medium athletic build with good present strength. 7.21 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has athletic actions and good quickness behind the plate, sets up low and flexible, quick glove to hand exchange, game actions in drills, quickness and release makes up for his arm strength. Switch-hitter at the plate, sets up with a high back elbow load from both sides, gets his hands down into slot well, short stride into contact, has some lift and extension from the right side, creates some backspin right handed, left handed swing is more short and direct with a bit less raw bat speed and lift. Solid overall switch-hitting ability. Excellent student.
