Dylan Laws is a 2023 RHP with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Creedmoor, NC who attends Granville Central. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a high waist, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.56 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, steady tempo to pace of delivery with a high leg raise, shows flexibility and works to a tight and high three-quarters release point; short stride coming down the mound and can incorporate additional lower half into drive. Occasionally gets mistimed at release, fastball topped out at 80 mph early in outing, shows quickness to arm through the back, mostly true in life on fastball. Fields the ball out front in the infield, young actions at the ball, creates plane on throws across with an extra step prior to release, high slot on throws and shows carry across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; loads hands back at start of swing. Stays direct to the ball with hands and shows a longer path through the zone. Utilizes a double toe tap trigger for timing, occasional lift at the point of contact to pull side.
