Paxton Flagg is a 2024 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Greenbrier, AR who attends Greenbrier. Present strength in the frame with room to fill, ran a 7.56 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, starts with a side set up, quick exchange, gains ground with longer arm action, will get better carry on throws with more use of lower half, 2.18 pop time. Secondary 1B showed some athleticism, fields ball deep, with good funnel to mid section. RHP, fastball topped out at 77 mph while sitting 72-76 mph, starts with a rocker step from the windup with a high leg kick, maintains a clean linear line towards the plate throughout the delivery with extension, showed developing arm speed working to a high three-quarters arm slot, showed a slider 10-4 shape with some tilt with the ability to land for strikes. Righthanded hitter, starts with a slightly open stance and wide base, shifts weight through contact, was able take the ball back up the middle when connected. Very good student.
