Stone Russell is a 2023 SS/2B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends IMG Academy. Big and strong athletic build, pretty mature physically. Right handed hitter, has a balanced and very consistent swing with good leverage at contact, gap to gap contact with plenty of jump and carry, strong and quick hands with a level swing plane, more power there in the future, has feel for the barrel. 7.20 runner in the sixty. Future third baseman on defense, has a high and tight arm slot with some carry on his throws and a quick release, will continue to improve defensively with work to quicken his hips and lateral agility. Outstanding student, verbal commitment to Florida.
