2022 WWBA West Workout Showcase (July 15)
Ben Strutt is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Horizon. Features a wiry build with athleticism present. Very good runner. Ran a 6.72 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder. Athleticism plays on the defensive side. Showcased an aggressive approach with quick feet. Caught the ball cleanly throughout workouts. Flashed solid arm strength when in-sync, throwing 84 mph. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a slightly open stance with a high hand setup. Simple load allows for solid balance throughout. Swings on a slightly lofted path with a gap to gap approach. Still developing consistent feel for the barrel. More power should come as the frame continues to get stronger. Good student.
