Michael Torres is a 2024 OF/LHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Doral Academy Charter. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 6.69 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball with fluidity in footwork and gets behind the ball, big arm strength to the intended base with carry, over-the-top slot, comes out of hand cleanly with looseness and twitch to overall actions; showed similar big arm strength across the diamond from first base as well. Also pitched, athletic operation with a leg lift just below the belt, works to a high three-quarter release point. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, short running life and worked comfortably to the arm side, flashed both a slider and changeup at 74 mph a piece as well. Left-handed hitter, begins with a medium hand set, loads them back at start of swing. Shows smoothness to stroke and maintains balance throughout, comfort working to pull side. Fundamentally sound mechanics with above average bat speed, hard line drive contact to the middle of the field, ball comes off the barrel well when squared. Good student. Verbal commitment to Miami.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
