Christian Sutphin is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Huntsville, AL who attends Grissom. Ran a 7.31 second sixty. A primary outfielder with a large physical frame. In the outfield he works under control to the ball with a quick shuffle into his full arm action with carry on his throws to the bases at 87 mph. On the mound he works straight downhill with an over the top arm slot, he showed some arm speed with a fastball that sat 80-83 mph looking to work on the edges of the strike zone with it, also mixed in an 11-5 curveball while tunneling it well out of the same over the top arm slot. At the plate, his righthanded swing worked gap to gap, he starts with a short stride creating some separation before working direct to the ball with strength in the hands at contact extended out front. Good student.
