Trenton Sawyer is a 2023 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-1 167 lb. frame from Hertford, NC who attends Perquimans County. Medium frame with a lean build and room to fill. Ran a 7.80 second 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, worked out in the infield with deliberate actions to the ball setting himself up well to receive, builds momentum to bag with easy throws across. Worked out with similar actions at first base with easy turns into throws. Also pitched working a simple and deliberate operation, full arm circle in the back with a quick arm through a high three-quarters slot, creates some sink to the fastball and mixes in a big curveball with downer action. Switch-hitter, grades out better on the right side, sets up spread and shows good bat speed from the right side generated line drive contact to the pull side and occasional lifted carry when squared.
