William Backus is a 2027 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Braselton, GA who attends Mill Creek. Medium frame with some physicality to the build now. Ran a 7.14 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, plays a little tall so may fit more at third base, clean glove work and gets to the spot on time, tall into his release with arm strength up to 75 across. Pitches too, stretch only and simple to release, gets solid fastball life and pitches solely off it right now, clean delivery and good foundation. Right-handed hitter, short and simple stride that he repeats well, lots of strength to the stroke with controlled violence and real separation already, can create leverage and send baseballs a long way with big impact.
