Carter Derks is a 2025 RHP/1B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Coral Springs, FL who attends St. Andrew's. Big and strong athletic build, looks the part of the durable starter. Side step delivery with a full arm swing in back leading to a high 3/4's arm slot, drop and drive lower half mechanics to the plate, arm action is smooth and loose and projects well. Fastball worked up to 84 mph with some arm side running life at times. Also threw a short breaking soft slider and a change up with some arm side fade, mixed his pitches well. Good student.
