Cole LaCrue is a 2023 C/3B/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Thornton, CO who attends Broomfield. Medium athletic build with good present strength and room for plenty more. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a late hand load, swings hard and creates some bat speed with a pull side approach, some up hill plane, had much better flow and timing in his game at bats than batting practice and squared the ball up well. Shows good athleticism on defense and has the ability to play multiple positions, good arm strength with some carry and a quick release on his throws, young footwork but that will develop with extended experience at an individual position, 7.33 runner. Also pitched, full delivery with a long arm action in back and a high 3/4's arm slot, will sometimes drop down to sidearm for a different look, arm is loose and free working down the mound. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, threw mostly fastball.s. Good student.
