Hayden Hulings is a 2009 LHP/OF/1B with a 5'9'', 165 lb. frame from Houston, Texas, who attends Memorial High School. Hulings is a young (2009) player with a lean and athletic build. On the mound he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with good arm action. Hulings produces good arm speed, especially for a young left handed pitcher. Also shows mound presence with good pitchability. Uses his fastball well working both sides of the plate. His fastball topped out at 80 mph, and he looks as if he will throw harder in the future. He gets depth on his curve ball at 66 mph, and it is a good pitch for him. With his arm, pitchability, and ability to spin the breaking ball, Hulings is a young lefty that needs to be followed. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a short and compact swing. He is a line drive contact hitter who consistently centers the ball. His hands work well and he stays under control. Also showed his athleticism by running a 6.9 sixty and looking good on the bases. Hulings is a good student as well..
