Marshall Thurman is a 2020 RHP/3B with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Home School. Medium and wiry frame with lots of room to fill on the build. Ran a 7.99 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, starts windup with a side step up to a belt high leg lift, keeps his hands low as he comes to balance point, coils slightly then drives off of his back leg down the mound showing drop and drive actions, quick arm action through the back up to a high 3/4 arm slot, creates some plane downhill, lands on a mostly soft front leg. Fastball worked primarily to the glove side of the plate up to 78 mph, fastball did show frequent cutting action to the offering, mixed in a changeup with well maintained arm speed and fade, has feel for a slider with sweeping action, fills up the strike zone well with a three pitch mix. Also took batting practice, righthanded hitter, wide base with a high hand set to start, big leg lift trigger into swing, inside hand path to the baseball, could utilize his lower half more into his swing, gets extended through contact with developing strength off of the barrel. Good student.
