Nicholas Alagna is a 2024 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Ofallon, MO who attends Fort Zumwalt West. Recorded a 7.08 second sixty yard dash time. Slight and lean build with plenty of room to add strength moving forward. Primary shortstop, moves well and shuffles laterally, has some quickness in his footwork. Max effort thrower, has solid hands to both sides with a compact arm circle and a high release. Also worked out in the outfield with an aggressive approach, works through the ball well and has some bounce to his actions. Has some softness in the hands and good body control, utilizes a long arm circle with present carry to his throws. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a high leg lift and quarter turn, utilizes an online stride down the hill. Long arm circle, throws from a high three-quarters slot, filled up the zone with his fastball and challenged hitters. Curveball had short 12-6 shape and flashed solid tightness and bite, was able to land it for strikes. Changeup showed fade and quite a bit of sink at times. Right-handed hitter with a slightly open and semi-crouch stance, utilizes a compact leg lift. Stays directional well. shows a flat bat path through the zone and an all fields approach. Produced consistent line drive contact up the middle, uses lower half well within the swing, has things to like from a contact perspective. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
