Rolando Castillo is a 2024 1B/LHP with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Matter Academy Lakes. Recorded an 8.67 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman with a physical build. Moved around the bag well with solid glovework at first. Left-handed hitter and starts from an open base with a high back elbow and hands. Rotates the hips well and gets the hands out front. Worked primarily the pull side during his round. Secondary left-handed pitcher and begins delivery with a leg lift to core level. Employs a loose and medium length arm action. Fastball topped at 73 mph, featuring sink and arm side run. Showed a changeup with some depth as well as a curveball that missed some bats. Excellent student.
