Reese Ellison is a 2024 LHP/1B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Bartlett, TN who attends Bartlett. Big young build, looks bigger than his listed size. Works from the stretch with a big leg raise start, extended 3/4's arm slot, has some deception to his delivery. Mid-70's fastball with some running action on it, will take off his fastball with short cutter action as well. Showed a nice fading change up he could throw more often, big breaking curveball that is effective changing eye levels. Mixes all his pitches and adds/subtracts with some maturity. Tended to nibble at times and can be more consistent challenging in the strike zone. Type of lefty with feel who can win games filling up the zone with different pitches, his physical development will be key in the future. Left handed hitter who can handle the barrel well and made consistent spray contact in the games. Very good student.
