Diego De Luna is a 2025 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Antioch, CA who attends Deer Valley. Recorded a 7.74 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop with a medium, athletic frame. Showed good balance to actions in the infield. Displayed clean footwork and worked into a methodical gather. Used a short arm action, reaching 81 mph on throws across the diamond. Right-handed hitter and starts with a medium base and slightly open feet. Swings with good intent and looseness to the hands. Turns the barrel over well and showed good control of it. Stays inside the ball and produced some loud barrels to left centerfield. Secondary right-handed pitcher and pitched exclusively from the stretch. Begins delivery with a leg lift to core level and lands on line at foot strike. Released from a mid-3/4 slot and topped at 83 mph with heavy sink to both sides of the plate. Threw slider with conviction and tight break, burying it for swing-and-miss. Proved to have good confidence and feel for the pitch. Flashed a straight changeup, repeating arm speed.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
