2022 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Anthony DeVita is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Apopka, FL who attends Apopka HS. Recorded a 6.97 second 60-yard dash time. High waisted frame with quality athleticism and present wiry strength. Primary right-handed pitcher who throws from the stretch only. Full arm stroke, high slot, and a big stride towards the plate. Quick arm with some effort at release. Leg lift up to the waist and got the fastball up to 83 mph and to both halves of the plate. Curveball has 12/6 shape with big depth. Lands changeups to hitters of opposite handedness. Needs to be more consistent with offspeed release points but has the physical ingredients. Arm strength plays from secondary position of the outfield. Right-handed hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and lift out in front. Athletic in the box and can work to both gaps nicely. Has impressive bat speed with a direct stroke and impacts the ball hard. Tremendous student. Named to the 2022 Preseason HS Prospect TP List.
