Jayson Nace is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Yucaipa, CA who attends Yucaipa. Medium frame with an athletic build showing strength throughout the frame. Ran a 7.27 second sixty yard dash. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a side-step to a belt high lift as he stays balanced throughout the motion. Free and easy arm action as he generates some whip. Mechanically sound and repeatable in his actions. Fills up the zone and tunnels his three pitch mix well. Fastball up to 85 mph with arm side run. Mixed in a fading changeup and a sharp breaking ball as well. Big upside showing on the mound. Secondary Outfielder, good first step as he runs into gather before continuing to run into throws. Arm strength showing in a big way as he threw it 88 mph with accuracy. Young footwork but arm strength carries him far here. Right-Handed Hitter, sitting down his stance as he works into a low leg lift to stride. Uphill swing path as he proves to have some juice in the bat. Pull-side power showing as he drove it deep with ease. Found a barrel with every cut he took and was confident in the box. Named to California Workout Camp Top Prospect List.
