Tyler Stine is a 2022 C/RHP/IF with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Columbia, MO who attends Hickman. Young athletic build. 7.73 runner, has very good flexibility and quickness behind the plate, receives the ball very cleanly for a freshman and showed side to side blocking skills, advanced receiver for his age, has some young arm strength, bit long in back in his arm stroke. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with loose bent knees, short swing with mid field to pull side contact, contact approach at present. Also pitched, compact arm action hides the ball well, simple turn and throw mechanics that enabled him to throw consistent strikes. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with big running life at times, showed nice spin on a curveball with depth. Has a chance to be a solid secondary pitcher. Good student. Named to the National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
