Alex Oppenheimer is a 2021 SS/RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Hollywood. Ran a 7.59 second sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with a medium frame. Developing actions in the infield that are quick and athletic. Rounds well, funnels out front, with short and compact arm action from a high three-quarters slot. Developing arm strength and accuracy across the diamond with throws up to 78 miles per hour. Has an upright, narrow, and slightly open stance at the plate, with a reaching front side trigger and linear lower half. Shifts weight well into contact with a line drive barrel plane. Middle of the field approach, looks to drive the ball between the gaps. Secondary right-handed pitcher. Generates good downhill plane on fastball up to 80 miles per hour. Developing arm speed and use of the lower half, stays balanced throughout delivery. Attacks hitters and pitches to contact, mixes speeds well with a curveball that has 11-to-5 shape at 68 miles per hour. Curveball is a developing pitch that got better as the outing went on.
