Bennett House is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Upton, MA who attends Nipmuc Regional. Recorded a 7.28 second sixty-yard dash time. Compact, medium frame with present lower half strength and room to fill out. Primary outfielder with developing defensive skill set; incorporates deliberate footwork into the fielding process, fielding slightly off to the side with later glove actions. Works downhill through the baseball for the most part, maintaining moment fairly into release. Recorded arm strength up to 84 mph during drills from an over-the-top arm slot. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Simple, repeatable delivery with controlled leg lift into balance and good lower half movements down the slope. Strike thrower that worked both sides of the plate effectively with his fastball, commands all four quadrants well with life through the zone. Fastball worked in the upper-70s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 80 mph from a high three quarters-arm slot. Mixed in 11-5 shaped breaking ball that has slurve like action to it for both strikes and swings-and-misses. Left-handed hitter that hits from an upright, slightly open stance with a high, deep hand set and high back elbow. Incorporates hanging leg lift for timing, positive weight shift and rotational lower half mechanics to get to launch. Lofted stroke with natural lift to it, line drive impact when squared and some feel for the barrel. Displayed emerging power potential with ability to turn the barrel on the inner-half when needed, while working the middle-of-the field consistently. Overall sound skill set with some projection remaining, will continue to improve with minor refinements and additional strength. Excellent Student.
