Matthew Leiterman is a 2022 SS/RHP/IF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Woodland Hills, CA who attends William Howard Taft. Features a lean, high-waisted frame with room to add. Ran a 7.09 60-yard dash. Primary infielder. Showcased a quick first step throughout workouts. Solid footwork helps create momentum toward first base. Solid hands caught the ball well, including to the backhand side. Flashed a quick release into throws. Has enough athleticism to throw from multiple arm angles. Generates solid carry on accurate throws. Threw 82 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter. Uses a slightly open stance with a narrow base. Showcased good bat speed on a linear path. The barrel whips through the zone. Approach allows for the entire field to be used. Swings with good intent while using the lower half well. Generates gap to gap power with the ability to backspin balls on occasion. Has potential for more down the line. Good student.
