Tyler Chapman is a 2007 OF/MIF with a 5'11'', 165 lb. frame from Huntington Beach CA, who attends Edison HS. Chapman has a rangy, lanky, athletic body type that still has physical development to come. He flashes some tools that all look like they will get that much more apparent in couple years when he has gained more strength. Presently he showed himself to be a solid hitter, with a quick bat and the ability to make consistent barrel contact during games. He is short to the ball and sprayed the ball to all fields. At times the ball came off his bat with some life. Chapman is able to keep his barrel in the zone for a long time and there is potentially something a bit more than gap power in his future. His bat looks like it is just starting to come on. Defensively he possesses a quick and good arm. The ball gets out of his hand well and he moves around the field athletically. Chapman is a solid student and a is a solid college prospect to be followed.
