Dalton Williams is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 6-5 195 lb. frame from Emmitsburg, MD who attends Catoctin. Recorded a 6.91 second sixty-yard dash time. Projectable extra-large frame with present physicality and athleticism . Primary outfielder that displayed athletic actions into the fielding process, while exhibiting good arm strength and accuracy on his throws. Showed ability to read the ball off the bat well, fielding cleanly off his front foot and transitioning well into release. Recorded arm strength up to 89 mph during drills and could flash more velocity by maintaining more momentum through his release. Secondary right-handed pitcher that works from an abbreviated windup with good pace and balance throughout the delivery. Incorporates belt high leg lift with slight upper-half turn to gather, working down the slope efficiently with his long levers and landing slightly cross-body through release. Fastball worked in the mid-80s for most of his outing, showing good life and topping out at 87 mph. Proficient strike thrower from a high three-quarters arm slot with ability to command both sides of the plate effectively. Mixed in tight 11-5 shaped curveball that flashed both horizontal tilt and vertical depth to it. High upside on the mound that will continue to add more velocity as he matures. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, even stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics and slight hand loading mechanism to get to contact. Simple approach with slightly elongated swing path, some present bat speed and line drive impact when on-time. Developing feel for barrel that will improve with proper swing adjustments. Tons of remaining projection with upside on the mound. Named to the 2020 Northeast Underclass East Top Prospect List.
