Jacob Borchert is a 2021 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from New Berlin, WI who attends Eisenhower. Ran a 7.67-second sixty-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher with a medium frame that has room to fill out and add strength. Has a slow and smooth delivery, remaining balanced throughout and getting down the mound with good direction in the lower half. Has present arm speed from a high, three-quarter slot, sitting at 79-81 miles per hour with the fastball. Shows developing feel for a mid-60s curveball and also shows a slider with tight spin in the zone at 65-67 miles per hour. Low-70s change-up completes the four-pitch mix and he repeats the delivery and competes well. Secondary infielder that rounds the ball well with developing glove actions and good range to the glove side. Displays good athleticism through the fielding process, making accurate throws across the infield at 84 miles per hour. Right-handed hitter that starts from a tall and even stance, keeping the weight on the back leg early with a rotational lower half. Has a longer path to contact with a slightly lifted barrel plane, flashing some gap-to-gap jump when on time and squared. Good student.
