Jalen Howard is a 2018 RHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Montgomery, AL who attends Macon East Academy. Medium build, lean and athletic frame with lots of room to fill throughout with added strength. Only pitched at the event, righthanded pitcher, worked exclusively from stretch, simple high leg lift, balances well at balance point with some hip tilt leading down the mound, slows momentum down at hand separation and speeds back up downhill, long arm action up to a 3/4 arm action, arm wraps around back side but it did not effect command. Fastball shows varying life both sinking and some run, topped out at 76 mph, threw lots of strikes missing barrels and creating soft contact, should develop an offspeed pitch for added effectiveness.
