Jonathan Carrasco is a 2026 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B, MIF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Ankeny, IA who attends Ankeny Centennial. Recorded a 6.93 sixty yard dash time. Medium frame with an athletic build that can still fill. Primary shortstop with a smooth glove and softer hands. Showed quick, bouncy feet with direct footwork to the baseball. Has some lateral range to both sides, moves best going up the middle. Gathers the feet well with a quick release and firm throws across with above average arm strength. Projects well in the infield. Secondary right-hand pitcher who has athletic movements on the mound with a high effort release. Uses a belt high leg lift with a three- quarter arm slot. Fills the zone with his fastball that was 80-83 and showed some arm side sink. Fastball plays up with deception from hiding the ball and moving parts in the motion. Mixed in a slider with some late horizontal break and a change-up that has separation in velocity and spin from the fastball. Throws strikes well on the mound and can get outs. Right-handed hitter with an upright stance and high hands, back elbow, uses a direct stride with a good turn through contact. Compact swing with some barrel speed. Ball comes off barrel well, in the air with some strength behind it. In game impressed with a line drive approach that utilized both gaps. Athletic player with a bright future. Named to the 2023 National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
