Isander Martinez is a 2024 3B/RHP, 1B, OF with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Cayey, PR who attends Leadership Christian Academy. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.14 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball closer to body but shows softness to hands, long arm action through the backside, shows arm strength and carry across the diamond when on top of throws, has body control in actions. Arm plays best in the outfield, on line throws and repeats mechanics well, deliberate tempo to actions, smooth on the approach and shows sound footwork. also pitched, works exclusively from the stretch, online stride coming down the mound, works with a shorter arm action and gets up to a higher three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, flashes late running life to it, will continue to refine a consistent release point; curveball shows 12-6 shape to it with depth and bite when on top, more slurve action when on the side at release. Right-handed hitter, begins with a spread stance at the plate and does a nice job of keeping things simple with swing. Handsy path but gets the barrel out front, creates line drive contact to the middle of the field when on time with some backspin, gets downward with path at times, will continue to develop with added strength. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
