Joseph Dixon is a 2020 RHP/3B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from South Jordan, UT who attends Bingham. Big and strong athletic build with plenty of room for more strength. Long drawn back arm action from an extended high 3/4's arm slot, has some funk and deception to his mechanics. Fastball topped out at 93 mph early, gets very consistent hard running and sinking life on his fastball when he's middle down in the zone. Got in a nice curveball groove and snapped off some sharp 11/5 breaking balls with good depth. Settled in well and had a solid outing. Right handed hitter, busy hand load from an upright stance, line drive swing with some extension out front, tends to collapse his body at foot strike and change his eye angle, has some strength in the barrel at contact. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Stanford.
