Thomas Mark is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Patterson, NY who attends Brewster. Large frame with long limbs and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a simple rock step to high leg lift delivery. Created some coil over back leg while staying flexed at gather. Sinks into back side and worked to the plate with drop and drive actions. Medium arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball came out of hand well producing downhill plane through the zone in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 80 miles per hour. Tends to slow arm speed with a changeup offering that created occasional sink in the upper 60's. Consistently looked to challenge hitters with fastball and induce weak contact. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing smooth paced, deliberate footwork while closing to the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange with loose transfers. Released from a three-quarters slot generating on line carry to the bag at 79 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a balance, even stance. Deeper hand load and worked to contact on a loose, extended path. Utilized a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension showing good strength off the barrel when squared. Primarily worked to the middle of the field but flashed the barrel control to work the other way as well. Good student.
