Jace Mitscherling is a 2021 MIF/RHP/OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Victoria, TX who attends Victoria West. Medium build with lots of room to get stronger, has some present strength in his lower half. 7.39 runner, fields the ball cleanly out front in the middle infield with a good funnel, hands are his best defensive tool, second base arm strength, makes accurate throws. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with with a rotational upper body swing, tends to hit around the ball with pull side contact, line drive swing plane. Also pitched, quick and compact arm circle in back, lands open with his front side, 3/4's arm slot, repeated his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, gets very consistent cutting action on his fastball due to his open front side mechanics, big side to side fastball action at times. Landed a sweeping curveball frequently, threw strikes for three innings and was effective. Good student.
