Cory Leech is a 2019 SS/RHP with a 6-0 167 lb. frame from Sebring, FL who attends Avon Park HS. Slender young middle infielder's build, plenty of room to get stronger. 6.81 runner, comes through the ball well on defense and reads hops well, smooth hands at the ball with glove skills, has a quick first step and good footwork, showed the ability to throw from different arm angles with some carry on his throws. Left handed hitter, bent knee stance with a limited shift into contact, low hand start, short swing with a mid-field approach, handles the barrel well, high contact approach, bat speed should improve with additional strength and more lower half use. Good student.
