Nick Mariani is a 2022 2B/SS/RHP with a 5-4 135 lb. frame from Harrison, NY who attends Harrison HS. Shorter frame with a younger build and room and time for additional physicality to be developed. Primary second baseman with arm strength recorded up to 71 mph across the diamond. Higher arm slot with deliberate actions and will develop with strength. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a slow tempo to delivery with an over the head start. Repeats it well with a longer arm action and the fastball topped out at 73 mph. Curveball had looser spin and he finished his pitches well. Righthanded hitter with a wide base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Longer swing and hits off his backside. Looseness to hands and swing plane projects and will improve with strength. Good student.
