2023 Northeast Top Prospect Games @ Rutgers (Wed-Thur)
Masai Marshall is a 2024 OF/UT with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Poly Prep Country Day. Marshall immediately impressed to start his event, posting a 6.86 sixty time. The '24 prospect worked exclusively from his primary OF spot, displaying clean athletic movements while effectively working through the baseball and putting himself in good positions at release. He kept the arm action compact and produced accurate throws on the bag up to 83 mph. On the offensive end, Marshall started from a slightly open stance with loose hands and a low back elbow, flashing an aggressive stroke that created solid impact to the middle of the field. He aimed to create lift in the bat path and generate carry on the baseball. Good student. Named to Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
