Erick Diaz is a 2024 OF/2B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Middletown, NY who attends Perkiomen. Medium build with very good present strength. 6.65 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, comes to the ball aggressively, speed gives him some range into the alleys, compact arm action with some carry when he stays on top of it. Switch-hitter on offense, similar approach from both sides, rotational swing with a leg raise trigger, aggressive swing, can be more consistent in his lower half balance and direction, has lots of hand strength and the ball jumps off his bat hard when squared. Quick twitch athlete with present strength, plays with energy and has an athletic ceiling to him. Good student.
