Tanner Devane is a 2019 1B/ with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Dothan, AL who attends Houston Academy. Big mature frame with some present strength to the profile. Ran a 7.62 second 60 yard dash. Primary first baseman, showed good all around action around the bag, smooth footwork into gather and exchange, longer release on throws to third but quickness when needed to the second base bag, clean hands out in front from a smooth gathering position, developing arm strength topping out at 71 mph from first base. Lefthanded hitter, sets up with a spread open stance, high hand set with a high back elbow, hitches at load, all or nothing approach with the strength present in the swing to do so, flashed some bat speed but more strength at this time, high effort in the swing looking to pull and lift. Great student.
