Austin Poitevint is a 2024 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Mattoon, IL who attends Mattoon. Primary outfielder with a young frame and build that has room to fill out and add strength. Has a good approach to the ball, showcasing good hands and a deliberate transfer. Has developing arm strength, making throws to bases at 70mph. Also worked out in the infield, fielding deep with developing balance. Has slow and deliberate actions. Right-handed hitter that starts from a wide base, rocking back at the load with developing bat speed through the zone. Swings with intent with a flat path to contact. Secondary right-handed pitcher that starts from the windup with a small side step and tall and fall actions down the mound. Lands online with some extension over the front side, throwing plenty of strikes with the fastball up to 71mph. Also shows a curveball at 60mph.
