Casey Artigues is a 2021 OF/SS with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Hammond, LA who attends St. Thomas Aquinas. Slender young athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. 6.74 runner at the PG Junior National Showcase. Played both outfield and second base, body and tools best suited for second base, has a second base arm action in the infield with nice footwork. Left handed hitter, hits from a very wide base with a deep low hand load, direct one-piece swing, rotational swing with some bat speed, best turning on the ball for pull contact but will go opposite/mid field as well, simple trigger that keeps him on time, high contact approach. Good student.
