Trenton Buckley is a 2024 SS/RHP, OF, UT with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Magnolia, TX who attends Magnolia West. He has a medium build with a slender frame and lots of room to add strength, and ran the sixty yard dash in 7.39 seconds. Primary shortstop that moves his feet well to get into fielding and throwing position. He has quick hands and drives through his throws with his lower half, allowing him to generate good carry on the ball. Secondary outfielder that showed similar movements and arm strength, working through balls well and delivering throws on a line and on target to the bases. Also worked out on the mound, throwing with a high 3/4 arm slot that generates good direction with his fastball that was low to mid-80's. His secondary pitch is a curveball that has 12-6 movement and is mainly used as a change-of-pace pitch. At the plate he starts from a narrow, slightly open stance. He does a nice job driving through the ball with his lower half and makes consistent contact out in front of the plate, allowing him to generate loft and power. Excellent student. Named to the Sunshine South Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
