Paul DelGiacco is a 2008 C with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame from Levittown NY, who attends Island Trees. DelGiacco has a medium sized frame with a medium build. Defensively, DelGiacco has solid arm strength with a quick release. This combination makes for a solid pop time of 2.03. He makes consistent online throws right on the base. DelGiacco moves well behind the plate and is a solid receiver. At the plate, DelGiacco starts with a square stance and starts his swing from a still start. He makes consistent line drive contact and has present line drive power. He maintains good balance through his swing and showed the ability to hit the ball to all fields. DelGiacco has quick hands and generates bat speed. He swings with effort and could use more of a trigger to start his swing to improve his timing. DelGiacco gets some lift on occasion and has a chance to become a very good hitter.
