Jaylon Buckley is a 2021 RHP/SS/3B with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Union, MS who attends Union HS. Stocky strong build, especially strong in the lower half. Rocker step delivery to a 3/4's arm slot, has a loose and fast arm, uses his strong lower half well to help generate velocity, will drop down to side arm at times with good effect. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 91 mph early, works fastball in the mid-80's from the side arm slot, lots of fastball life from all angles and throws consistent strikes while staying down in the zone. Primary fastball pitcher, secondary pitches still developing. Switch-hitter, shows a more refined and directional swing right handed, gets the barrel out with a line drive swing plane. 7.39 runner, showed his arm strength well in the middle infield. Named to the National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List.
