2022 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
TJ Burske is a 2023 C/OF, RHP with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Apopka, FL who attends Apopka. Medium frame with a sturdy build showing strength throughout. Ran a 6.97 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sitting down in the stance with a slight side saddle during drills. Receives it well out front before gaining ground and working into transfer. Consistent exchange and released with urgency. Accurate around the bag recording a pop time of 2.13 seconds. Fundamentally sound and flashed feel for the position. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working exclusively out of the stretch. Lifts to the belt and drives down the hill. Shorter arm action with a quick, compact arm stroke. Proved he could live in the zone with the fastball as he was up to 81 mph. Also mixed in an 11-to-5 breaking ball in the upper-60's that he struggled to find a release point with at times. Rounded the arsenal off with a changeup in the mid-60's. Right-Handed hitter, wide base to start with high hands. Strides out and works into a linear cut. Proved to have bat speed. Controls his weight well throughout the cut as he stays balanced. Proved he could drive it to all fields and looked to lift at times. Outstanding Student.
