Greg Pettay is a 2022 SS/2B with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Clermont, FL who attends The First Academy. Medium frame with an athletic look and current strength to the frame. Ran a 6.50 in the sixty yard dash. A primary infielder, moves well with lateral quickness and great stop and start ability as he rounds the ball and reads hops. Good timing in the approach with a smooth exchange and good improvisation when needed. A right-handed hitter, wider base start with little extra movement and a short and direct stroke. Excellent timing and real feel for the barrel. Hits to the middle of the park and has surprising pop. Big production type player. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to UCF.
