John Lyle is a 2019 MIF/RHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Auburn, AL who attends Lee Scott Academy. Medium and skinny frame, plenty of room to continue to fill out physically. Ran a 7.30 second 60 yard dash. Primary middle infielder, waits back on the baseball in the infield, showed range to either direction with good mobility laterally, fields in a slightly high gathering position but it plays, hands work out in front but could be softer with added reps, good balance on charge, average arm strength topping out at 78 mph across the diamond. Secondary righthanded pitcher, high leg lift to begin delivery, gathers well over the rubber, coils at balance point, long and wrapped arm action up to an extended 3/4 arm slot, baseball comes out cleanly, gets the ball to both sides of the plate, lands online toward the plate. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, mixed in an 11-to-5 curveball that is still developing, flashed a 70 mph changeup. Righthanded hitter, big leg lift trigger, bat wraps at load, should work on being more balanced into swing, extends through contact nicely, consistent contact from pull side to the middle of the field. Outstanding student.
