Gavin Browne is a 2022 SS/RHP with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Riverside, CA who attends Riverside Poly. Long and lean frame with good present athleticism. Ran a 7.54 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, shows solid range around the dirt with good use of his feet and lower half, works under the ball at receiving with soft hands, builds momentum into his throws and adjusts slot well with throws clocked up to 84 mph across. Also pitches, efficient and athletic to release, works up tempo with comfort, has a quick arm stroke, generates short life to the fastball while showing feel for a vertical breaking ball and a changeup. Right-handed hitter, sets up even and balanced, generates excellent barrel whip with looseness in his wrists, able to adjust the bat head to match plane and produces well-struck line drives to the middle of the field with consistency.
