Jaylen Dickey is a 2020 C/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Powder Springs, GA who attends Mceachern. Medium frame with some strength to build and more room to fill. Ran a 7.77 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up behind the plate in a side saddle position, comes out of his crouch with good footwork and efficient ground gained into his throws, work out in front with his throw downs that show plenty of arm strength from his compact arm stroke. 2.07 second best pop time. Secondary righthanded pitcher, deliberate tempo to windup before speeding up into release, takes his arm back to a full arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, shows some whip to his arm, fastball topped out at 79 mph, mixed in a slider with late biting action and the best feel of his three pitch mix, showed a changeup that will improve with maintained fastball arm speed. Righthanded hitter, sets up with balance and an even base, toe tap trigger into swing, long swing plane with a deep hand load, creates a downward path in to contact with young bat speed, middle of the field approach. Good student.
