Kaiden Lopez is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 6-0 188 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Oviedo. Very athletic build with lots of present strength. 6.52 runner in the sixty. Very athletic actions in the outfield, loose and fast arm with outstanding carry, gets rid of the ball fast with athletic lower half actions through release. Right handed hitter, starts his back laid bat and calm, stays compact in his swing mechanics, explosive hand speed, big barrel whip, line drive swing path at present without much lift but that will come, combination of twitch and strength plays. Also pitched, side step delivery into a high 3/4's arm slot, low effort release. Fastball worked up to 95 mph, mostly straight with good command in the zone. Threw a cutter/hard slider off his fastball that was short and biting and effective. Big breaking curveball created swing and miss with big 11/5 shape. Also showed a change up for a full four-pitch mix. High level athlete with baseball skills all over the field. Good student, verbal commitment to Mississippi. Named to the Perfect Game All-American Classic Team.
