Jacob Gutierrez is a 2020 3B/UT with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Lubbock, TX who attends Frenship HS. Thick and strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, high hand load, good direction in his shift, keeps his hips loaded well, swings hard and creates bat speed, pull side line drive approach, pretty easy tension free swing, can get the ball to jump well. 7.06 runner, has athletic infield actions, works through the ball well, hands work cleanly at the ball, quick release with some arm strength. Well rounded player with good strength. Verbal commitment to New Mexico. Good student.
